Coronavirus status report #4: Peru is on its 5th day of quarantine

At the moment there are 234 infected people and 3 dead. The measure taken by President Vizcarra in the last 3 days includes the curfew from 8:00 pm until 5:00 am and the absolute border closure, an order of immobility for all transports nationwide.
For those Peruvians stranded abroad in accordance with Article 8 of DS No. 044 – 2020 orders to the MTC (Ministry of Transport) to authorize international flights, which allows the repatriation of Peruvians abroad and the return of foreigners to their respective countries of residence.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism also disclosed that the government has enabled a virtual form to register foreign tourists stranded in Peru because of CORONAVIRUS or who had to remain in Peru, because of the coronavirus prevention measures. We hope that those foreigners who are in our country, can have a prompt and safe return home. In the meantime, it is important that all of us on Peruvian soil abide by presidential rules in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
