Coronavirus status report #5 : Quarantine extends in Peru until April 13th

As of today, the report of people infected with coronavirus in our country is of 635 cases and 9 deaths. After an assessment of the current state of emergency, the president Martín Vizcarra has decided to expand the mandatory quarantine until Sunday, April 12th.
During this week several hotel chains have joined in a single effort with the initiative of «SOLIDARY SUPPORT» to accommodate repatriated Peruvians. Thanks to this campaign, accommodation and food are being provided to our compatriots and who must remain in mandatory quarantine. It is very important to note that the hotels have partner with the government so all the recommended measures given by the MINSA are being put in place.

We also continue with the curfew from 20:00 hrs until 5:00 hrs the next day, while in the departments of Piura, Lambayeque and La Libertad would be extended from 18:00 hrs to 5:00 hrs. Commercial flights are still not enabled, humanitarian flights are being sent by consular offices to help their citizens return to their countries.
