FOR IMMEDIATE REALEASE: Coronavirus update in Peru

On March 6th, 2020, the President of the Republic of Peru, Martín Vizcarra, spoke and confirmed the first case of coronavirus in the country. He has also reported that the first person who has been infected by COVID-19, is currently isolated and getting all the comprehensive care he needs.

The Ministry of Health and Lima’s international airport, Jorge Chavez, have joint forces and powered the prevention protocol for passengers arriving in our destination. Everyone who is presenting any potential symptoms of the virus, previously reported from flight crew, is immediately taken to the health department area of the airport and conducted a screening to confirm a possible infection. If the person is indeed infected, the protocol states that he/she will be put in quarantine. Additionally, hand sanitizer gel is been distributed before stepping on Peruvian soil, as a prevention method. The Authorities of Homeland Security has not announced any travel bans or foreigners, from any country, restrictions as of now.

We are working closely with our suppliers to manage the flexibility of trip cancellations or postponements, in the event of a client having travel impediments due to the virus. We have requested and emphasized with our collaborators to take the sanitary measures required by the authorities regarding the management of infectious diseases.
