Peru was awarded at the World Travel Awards South America.

Once again our country was recognized in the different editions of the World Travel Awards, the most important prizes of the tourism sector worldwide.
Three awards that Peru reached are: Best Culinary Destination in South America for the seventh year, Best Cultural Destination in South America and Best Tourist Attraction in South America (Machu Picchu).
Promperú noted that, in recent years, the planning and development of the promotion of Peruvian cuisine has achieved successful results that have made us worthy to be included in the list of The 50 Best Restaurants in the World.
The second prize for Peru was for Best Cultural Destination, due to the great, valuable and well preserved archaeological heritage that the country has. In addition, our territory has an active contemporary cultural life, several museums rich in pre-Hispanic content and art galleries that show the best of the Peruvian artists’ production.
The second trophy arrived thanks to Machu Picchu, after being considered by critics, and international tourists who visit us, as the Best tourist attraction.
These awards have 25 years of experience recognizing excellence in all sectors of the tourism industry and travel around the world. The winners are chosen thanks to the vote of the public in the online platform of the organization, made up of tourism professionals, industry entrepreneurs and various travelers.
