This Arequipa and Colca Canyon tour is a great way to get there and experience southern Peru’s beautiful highland landscapes, villages and wildlife; walk on the base of a volcano; and, of course, enjoy spectacular views of Colca Valley. Enjoy the magnificent beauty of Arequipa the “White City”, and immerse yourself with enthralling escapade at Cruz del Condor with giant condors overlooking the world’s second deepest gorge known as Colca Canyon.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: CITY TOUR – SANTA CATALINA MONASTERY

Upon arrival to the Arequipa city transportation to the selected hotel. In the afternoon, we start a three hour sightseeing tour including the Santa Catalina Convent, the main Square, the Jesuit Church of La Compañía and its beautifully-painted Chapel, the Church of San Francisco, the San Lazaro District, Selva Alegre and the typical Districts of Cayma and Yanahuara for a magnificent view of the Misti Volcano. After finishing our tour we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Arequipa.

DAY 2: AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON  

AM.- After breakfast, we will initiate the excursion to the Colca Canyon, and on the way we will visit the beautiful Yura town, the Volcanos Chachani and Misty, Pampas Cañahuas, Vischachani, La Pulpera, Sibayo and  Chivay getting there around 13.00. The lunch is included. Overnight in Chivay Town.

DAY 3: CRUZ DEL CONDOR – AREQUIPA 

After breakfast, we will go to the Condor’s Cross where the magnitude of the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the majestic Condor can be appreciated. In the afternoon we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Arequipa.

DAY 4: AREQUIPA 

After breakfast, transfer to the airport.
