Basic Cusco 03 Days / 02 Nights

Visit the main attractions of the city of Cusco and its surroundings. Admire the beautiful decoration of the Cathedral, then walk through the charming Inca streets until you reach Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) Then you will leave the city for approximately 2 kilometers and discover the secrets of Sacsayuhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. You will also have the opportunity of one of the wonders of the world: Machu Picchu !.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: CUSCO / CITY TOUR

Assistance at your arrival in Cusco airport and transfer to the selected hotel. At the hotel a hot Coca tea will be waiting for you to help you avoid altitude sickness. Resting in the morning is highly recommended, that way your body acclimates to the altitude while you sleep. In the afternoon we will start visiting Cusco on a guided sightseeing tour knowing the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha. Then, we drive out of the City to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay (the Inca baths), Puca Pucara and the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman. When the tour ends we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU

In the morning we will be transferred to the train Station for a train journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. We will arrive to Agua Calientes, located in the province of Urubamba, at an altitude of 2,400 masl. and then we will  take a 25-minute bus drive of winding road, to “The Lost City of the Incas”, having a guided tour to The Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and  visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows. After the tour we will have time to stroll around the Archaeological Site at leisure. After lunch we will return to Cusco. Overnight.

DAY 3: CUSCO / LIMA

After breakfast, transfer to Cusco’s airport for going back to Lima.
