Beautiful Huaraz 04 Days / 03 Nights

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: LIMA / HUARAZ

At 22.00 hours we will leave on a itinerary bus toward the city of Huaraz. 

DAY 2: CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS – HUASCARAN NATIONAL PARK

Upon arrival, reception at the bus station and transfer to the Hotel. After  having breakfast we will start our excursion visiting the  Callejón de Huaylas, valley among Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra and the  Santa River. Later we will ascend towards the Llanganuco Lake, located at the lower slope of the Huascarán and the snowcapped Huandoy mountains and inside Huascarán National Park. Overnight in Huaraz.

DAY 3: CHAVIN DE HUANTAR

This tour will enable us to visit the Callejón of Conchucos, at the rear side of the Cordillera Blanca, where we will find the Chavin Castle. This castle was an important workship site of the pre-Incas culture that has the same name. This culture was the matrix of the Peruvian civilization. 

Overnight in Huaraz.

DAY 4: PASTORURI / LIMA

Excursion to the Pastoruri Mountain, an easy access snowcapped mountain. Before performing this journey, we will visit the “Puya Raimondi,” which shows the most varied flora from the high Andes, gas water springs, cave painting, etc. Here we will walk on the snowcapped mountain. Return to the Hotel and in the evening we will go to Trujillo on an itinerary bus. Night on route.

OPTIONAL TOUR : TREKKING LAGUNA 69

To make this walk it is necessary to add an additional day to the tour. Additional that are not mentioned in the itineraryJoin us in this Laguna 69 trek for the day that will give us the possibility to visit and appreciate the landscapes of the Andes Mountain Range from a privileged perspective, besides enjoying the flora of the place and the purity of its waters.

Itinerary:

• We will leave Huaraz at 6:00 am in a vehicle.
• The road that we will take is to the north of the Alley of Huaylas, towards the city of Yungay.
• After a half hour pause, we will continue to the Cebollapampa, at 3,900 m high, from where we will begin our trek.
• During the hike that lasts 3 hours, we will have a special view of the higher mountains of the range, like Chacraraju, Pisco, Yanapaccha and South Huascarán.
• We will reach a point of 4,500 m high, where the Laguna 69 is located.
• Here we will make a 1 hour stop to rest, eat and take pictures of the Cordillera Blanca.
• Then, we will go back to Cebollapampa, walking for 3 hours more to take our vehicle.
• Finally, we will travel by bus for 3 hours to return to Huaraz.

Times: 4:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Duration: 13 hours and a half.

Included: 01 night in the selected hotel with breakfast in Huaraz, private or shared transport, spanish or english guide, lunch, entrance and taxes.

Not included: Additional that are not mentioned in the itinerary

What to bring: Warm clothing, waterproof clothing, trekking shoes, warm hat, hat to protect against the sun, sunglasses, sunscreen, snack, water, gloves, personal first aid kit, trek poles and 25-liter backpack for the walking during the day.
