Peru and Chile Mysterious 11 Days

Machu Picchu, Puno and Easter Island tour, combines three of South America’s most mysterious destinations and most fascinating highlights. Visit the ancient culture, archaeology, and folklore of the Andes’ most visited destinations: Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. After a short flight we will arrive to Easter Island, we will visit the island of Rapa Nui, and relax in a resort facing the southern Pacific ocean.

DAY 1: PERU – ARRIVAL TO LIMA
Meals: not included
Arrival in Lima, reception and transfer to the select
Hotel. Overnight in the capital of Peru – Lima.

DAY 2: PERU – LIMA / CUSCO – CITY TOUR + NEAREST RUINS MUSEUM
Meals: Breakfast
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco. Assistance at your arrival in Cusco, our guide will be waiting for the group. Welcome coca tea will be waiting for you to help you with the altitude sickness.
PM-City guided Tour that consists of visiting the Main Square, Cathedral; Temple Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, Soon we will visit the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman strategically constructed on a hill from where all famous Cuzco by its enormous worked stones is also appraised, some of which are to 9 ms/30 feet of height and the ceremonial centers of Kenko, Tambomachay, known like the Inca’s Baths, a place of cult to the water and the bunker of Puca Pucara. DAY 3: PERU – CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS/ AGUAS CALIENTES
Meals: breakfast, and lunch
After breakfast we will initiate excursion to “Sacred Valley of the Incas”, where you can appreciate the typical Indian market that is carried out Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays, experience the customs of its settlers in the typical Indian market. (Sundays mass in quechua, the native language is celebrated). And native attendance of “Varayoc” or mayors with its typical suits. Lunch in a Local Restaurant in Sacred Valley, and soon we will visit the Fortress Inca of Ollantaytambo, constructed to take care of the entrance of this part of the valley and to protect it of possible invasions of the settlers of the forest; is constituted by a series of superposed terraces. Finally we will go to the Train Station to take the train, after a 1.5 hour train trip through the magnificent Urubamba River , you arrive to Aguas Calientes Town .

DAY 4: PERU- TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU BACK TO CUSCO
Meals: breakfast and lunch
We will take a 25-minute bus drive of winding road, to “The Lost City of the Incas”. Once we get there, we will have a guided tour to The Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and visit the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour, we will have time to stroll around the archaeological site at our leisure. Then you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town to have lunch. At a specific time, you will go to the train station to take the train back to Cusco city. At arrival in Cusco, one of our representatives will take you to your hotel.

DAY 5: PERU – CUSCO / PUNO
Meals: Breakfast
Early breakfast and transfer to the airport to take the flight to Juliaca. At you arrival at 12:15pm, we will be transferred to Puno. On our way to Puno, we will visit Sillustani located at 34 Kms. of Puno city and known as one of the greatest archaeological sites of America. Sillustani is considered the main cemetery of the Collas, there we will see the famous Funeral Towers denominated Chullpas, which have more than 12 meters of height. Reception at your arrival in Puno, we will have lunch and then transfer to your accommodation. Dinner.

DAY 6: TOUR TO UROS & TAQUILE ISLANDS
Meals: breakfast and Lunch
After breakfast, transfer to the pier to take our boat to the floating islands of Uros. In Uros, we will learn about the modus vivendi of these native quechua communities. We will continue the route towards Taquile Island, inhabited also by native quechuas who have developed a technic of weave which stands out by its great cultural wealth, emphasizing its textile art. Lunch in Taquile. After finishing the tour, we will return to the hotel.

DAY 7: PUNO / LIMA – INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT TO SANTIAGO DE CHILE
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to the airport of Juliaca to take the flight to Lima (airfare NOT included). Arrival to Lima to take your connection flight to Santiago de Chile.Upon arrival to Lima transfer to the selected hotel.

DAY 8: SANTIAGO DE CHILE – EASTER ISLAND AIRPORT – HALF DAY AHU AKVI
Meals: Breakfast
At appropriate time, we will transfer to the airport to take your flight at 9:35am. (airfare not included). Arrival to Easter Island at 13:30pm and transfer to your selected hotel in Easter Island (accommodation included). In the afternoon after having lunch, we will get introduce you to the mysteries of this beautiful place. Departing from Hanga Roa, this tour will take you to visit Ahu Akivi, Ahu Vinapu, Puna Pau Quarry, and The Te Pahu Cavern. Ahu Akivi’s 7-Moai platform faces the equinoctial rising sun with each statue at a height of around 16 feet and a weight of around 18 tons. According to folklore, the seven statues represent the seven young explorers who left Hiva, a legendary Polynesian homeland, to do reconnaissance on the island after the spirit priest Haumaka made the first chief, Hotu Matu´a, aware of the island’s existence. You will have time to reflect on this story and the many other mysteries of Easter Island as you walk around exploring the incredible Moai structures. Return to selected hotel an dinner in Easter Island (accommodation included).

DAY 9/ EASTER ISLAND – FULL DAY ANAKENA BEACH

Meals: Breakfast and Box Lunch
Departure across the Moai route, these colossal sculptures carved in volcanic rock are scattered all around the island. Visit to the “Ahu” o ceremonial platforms, starting with Ahu Vaihu***(closed), surrounded by Moais that lay face down on the ground. Then visit to Ahu Akahanga, where the first king of the island was buried. The tour continues to Rano Raraku Volcano, located near the southern coast and at the feet of Poike, the most spectacular crater of the zone, where the ancient natives sculpted these stone giants.Later, departure to Ahu Tongariki, the biggest Moai platform in the island, it is formed by 15 Moais. The place was destroyed in May 1960 by a tsunami, and it has been restored mainly thanks to Japanese foundations.Arrival to Ahu Te Pito Kura, where there is an enormous spherical rock and the Moai Paro, the largest statue in the island.Later, arrival to Anakena, one of the most beautiful beaches in the island. Return to selected hotel in Easter Island (accommodation included).

DAY 10: EASTER ISLAND – SANTIAGO CITY TOUR

Meals: Breakfast
At the appointed time, transfer to Easter Island Airport to board plane toward to Santiago. Upon arrival an transfer to the hotel in Santiago.
In the afternoon we will have a city tour by Santiago, visiting the old town, including the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Palace of La Moneda and the Correos building. Climb to the viewpoint of Cerro San Cristobal, located in the largest urban park in the city. The tour ends at the Central Market so you can enjoy a typical lunch (not included) in
Mall Parque Arauco Mall Costanera Center or hotel selected (accommodation included)

DAY 11: DEPARTURE INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT FROM SANTIAGO
