Traditional Cajamarca 03 Days / 02 Nights

The city of Cajamarca is sitting in a valley between the brawny Andes Mountains in the Northern Highlands of Peru. With a mild, dry and sunny climate, Cajamarca boasts the perfect getaway. The city is home to brilliant Colonial architecture, a beautiful countryside, abundant dairy products and cheeses, and a rich history.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: CAJAMARCA / CITY TOUR

Upon arrival to Cajamarca city, reception and transfer to the selected hotel.  In the afternoon we will have the City Tour knowing the Main Square, the Church of San Francisco, the Cathedral, Belen Church, Archaeological, Ethnographic and Religious Museum, The Rescue Room and  Santa Apolonia Hill.  After finishing we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Cajamarca. 

DAY 2 : VENTANILLAS DE OTUZCO / «BAÑOS DEL INCA» / HACIENDA PORCON

After  breakfast we will visit the Fundo Los Alpes, Hacienda Tres Molinos, Jardín de las Hortencias and  Ventanillas de Otuzco. After a typical lunch, we will continue to the «Collpa”, in the district of Llacanora, to visit the Caves of  Callacpuma. Finally we will go to the “Inca Baths” . We will continue with The Atahualpa Jerusalem Cooperative or Porcón Farm, as it is also known. Return to the hotel. Return to the Hotel. Overnight in Cajamarca.

DAY 3: CUMBE MAYO / CAJAMARCA 

After breakfast, we will be beginning our excursion to the arqueologycal group of Cumbe Mayo, located at 3.500 m.s.n.m., where we will be able to observe the stones forest, sanctuary which contains inscriptions of Petroglifos, we also will see the “Wishes Tunnel”, and the Aqueduct of Cumbe Mayo. At an appropriate hour, transfer to the Airport or bus station to go to Lima.
